It looks like so far that the pick was more of a reactionary move to the run on WRs.
If that's the case, it's too bad they wasted so much in order to make sure the same problem with receiver depth doesn't happen again.Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06946662525514195674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-60447653233616204142009-04-26T14:00:00.000-07:002009-04-26T14:00:00.000-07:00Hamlin's fall happens to at least a couple of safe...Hamlin's fall happens to at least a couple of safeties every year it seems. He sounds just like Jamar Adams - makes plays on the ball, good football i.q., team leader, plays the run well. Despite that, if you get tabbed with a "lacks deep speed" sticker, you end up plummeting several rounds if not out of the draft altogether.Akkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16558823189806739606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-74010017396727984982009-04-26T13:06:00.000-07:002009-04-26T13:06:00.000-07:00Wow...both Michael Hamlin and Duke Robinson fell t...Wow...both Michael Hamlin and Duke Robinson fell to the late 5th round. If we still had our 5th round pick, we could have gotten one of them, hopefully Hamlin to solve our S problem.Louisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-75647784777666141712009-04-26T12:39:00.000-07:002009-04-26T12:39:00.000-07:00I am now hoping for Cedric Peerman or Rashad Jenni...I am now hoping for Cedric Peerman or Rashad Jennings with one of our remaining picks.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-42427392875537690472009-04-26T12:18:00.000-07:002009-04-26T12:18:00.000-07:00jjhsix - I am not aware about any character concer...jjhsix - I am not aware about any character concerns, but the fact he's not off the board and we're approaching round six says something. Gerald Cadogan hasn't gone yet either which is a surprise to me.

Louis - I will be shocked if the Seahawks consider Duke Robinson. He had a lot of hype, but the fact he's dropped this significantly tells me it was unwarranted. He isn't a good scheme fit for Seattle, even Herman Johnson would be better and I believe he's still around. Running back could be an option if Rashad Jennings makes it, I think he'd be great value. The team have said they are happy with what they have though. Jennings, Meredith, Cadogan,Pegues, Davis, Ringer - all guys I'd consider but they're still around for a reason I guess.

Akki - I must admit to confusion surrounding the Hill situation. You have a solid LB corps but problems elsewhere. Then you use the draft and free agency to dedicate reworking the linebacker position? I like Aaron Curry and clearly the team wanted an instant impact which Curry provides. However, I hope the offense will heal itself this year because I'm not sure T.J. Housmandzadeh on his own is enough - they need to be lucky with injuries unlike 2008.Rob Statonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16481945325907207562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-57102082308563737632009-04-26T12:07:00.000-07:002009-04-26T12:07:00.000-07:00I'd forgotten about Butler until I looked up his Y...I'd forgotten about Butler until I looked up his Youtube stuff. I'm a Northwestern fan, and #3 from Penn State was a constant thorn in our sides. That's a good thing for the Seahawks. I'd have liked Mike Thomas, but it seems like if you stuck Butler in the Arizona offense you'd have seen similar results.

If Hill leaves, we we supposed to gain a comp pick next year? Maybe that's what went into the thinking in giving up next year's #3 - we already have plenty of picks next year.Akkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16558823189806739606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-62109470193762698212009-04-26T11:46:00.000-07:002009-04-26T11:46:00.000-07:00Anybody know who Deon Butler's agent is?Anybody know who Deon Butler's agent is?Big Poppa...The showstoppanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-74636051423186563842009-04-26T11:43:00.000-07:002009-04-26T11:43:00.000-07:00Hey- I see that Duke Robinson is still on the boar...Hey- I see that Duke Robinson is still on the board...any chance he falls to us in the 6th round?

ALso...do u see us picking a RB in the 6th round? If so, who?

BTW...it just doesnt really make sense to remove the franchise tag from Leroy Hill. We added a very good LB in CUrry, but we also let go of a very good LB in Hill. So basically, we used the #4 pick and did not get much better.Louisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-77150885164300940022009-04-26T11:27:00.001-07:002009-04-26T11:27:00.001-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-82071515315375989522009-04-26T11:27:00.000-07:002009-04-26T11:27:00.000-07:00Rob - on the NFL Network, Mayock mentioned off the...Rob - on the NFL Network, Mayock mentioned off the field issues with Meredith. I have to put a caveat on that though because to be honest I wasn't that big a fan when they traded up for Tatupu in '05 and Carlson last year and now I love those guys. Ruskell seems to be able to find guys in these rounds.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
