I think...I don't think that'd be necessary. I think if you spend that #6 pick on Davis, you look to improve another area of the team at #14. Taking two rookie tackles doesn't make you automatically a much better offense (ask Jacksonville). You still need playmakers to keep a defense honest, you still need a pass rush on the other side of the ball. Taking Davis at #6 would mean, for me, looking at another area and maybe returning to draft o-lineman later on.Rob Statonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16481945325907207562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-17613438771729931502010-02-25T17:50:13.381-08:002010-02-25T17:50:13.381-08:00what about davis and brown for both first round pi...what about davis and brown for both first round picks so we could have a better ground and pass game?thomasnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-80454550683760710362010-02-25T17:48:09.738-08:002010-02-25T17:48:09.738-08:00He's also got no reported issues when it comes...He's also got no reported issues when it comes to attitude, work ethic and drive. He needed to gain the weight for the combine and he achieved it. It shows he's serious about the NFL, he didn't rest on a likely late first/early second grade even at the 290lbs range. The challenge now is to perform well in drills. He could be a dramatic riser - expect a lot of mocks to suddenly have Brown as a high first rounder.Rob Statonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16481945325907207562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-52516272064194191952010-02-25T17:41:27.456-08:002010-02-25T17:41:27.456-08:00No injury history is a big plus.No injury history is a big plus.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-68402929348955904862010-02-25T15:30:50.277-08:002010-02-25T15:30:50.277-08:00Bulaga and Trent Williams likely restricted themse...Bulaga and Trent Williams likely restricted themselves to the right side of the line in most team's mind. If you're already facing concerns about being able to protect as a LT, and then you show up with only decently-long arms (as opposed to the mutants teams put on their left side), you have an uphill climb to make teams think you're a LT. I'm not saying that's right, but that's what I'd expect.Kyle Rotahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10852143812226605646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-86399041696513279672010-02-25T15:12:45.810-08:002010-02-25T15:12:45.810-08:00These are some big men. Washington is looking for a LT as well and Detroit also could use one. I hope we get the chance at the right guy. Do not trust Baluga or Trent Williams very much as a LT prospect.

Mike KellyMichaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17469818806510252436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-71250903866165920642010-02-25T14:49:23.290-08:002010-02-25T14:49:23.290-08:00Brown fits the Gibbs ZBS perfectly. I was high on Smith, but Brown could be a better prospect.

Smith: 33 3/4" arms and 9 3/4" hands
Brown: 35 1/4" arms and 11 3/8" hands

Smith also worked out of a 2 point stance at Baylor; Brown doesn't.

Smith also had a bit of an injury history with a MCL sprain in the season opener his junior year (missed 3 games). Returned an reinjured the same knee the follwing week (missing another 2 games).
