And FWIW, he's STILL unpicked in the 7th round (17th pick in the 7th round). A ZBS running needs good vision and relative elusiveness. Some good hands would also help. I would barely rate him average in any of those areas.

Not that it matters since Lendale White is on the team now, but Charles Scott (6th round pick) originally was my choice for his vision and power.

AlexAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-44316049332385818802010-04-24T10:42:10.378-07:002010-04-24T10:42:10.378-07:00Allen Faneca is a free agent now. I do believe Gibbs is implementing a zone blocking scheme. Blount looked like an NFL caliber player in stature, and athleticism in junior college as well as later in Oregon. He is definitely worth our first RB pick in my opinion. But then again there is a reason teams shy away from players with bad attitudes and unsavory behavior like Brandon Marshall and T.O.Ethannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-74820627551487544492010-04-24T07:14:24.294-07:002010-04-24T07:14:24.294-07:00Well done! Also I would love the idea of getting rid of Deion Branch (who really hasn't done much for the team the past 2 years) and getting more picks would be great. Jonathan Dwyer would be a great pick but would he be that different from Justin Forsett? I say dump or trade Julius Jones and get Dixon or Dwyer (if available w/the 127th pick in the 4th round). Pick Mitch Petrus w/the 104th round pick. Then hopefully some good picks will still be had in the 5th round (2 picks) and the 6th and 7th (1 pick each).Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06906043763697006187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053006193215777292.post-28558007511831746092010-04-24T04:08:50.863-07:002010-04-24T04:08:50.863-07:00I think TE is still very much a live possibility. ...I think TE is still very much a live possibility. It may not be a need for today but for one or two years down the road. If they have a guy like Pitta rated highly and he falls to them, I could see them going that route.

I think we should go to camp with the WRs we've assembled so far - it's time to address other needs in the draft.

Seattle's got to be shocked and bothered that Denver poached the best ZBS interior linemen in the 3rd. What is McDaniels doing? Anyway, we know that Gibbs pulls a lot of weight in this draft and I can see him pushing for Petrus with our first pick in the 4th.

I don't see any urgency to get a RB at this point. A burner like Deji Karim could make sense in the 5th. Seattle probably figures Marshawn Lynch will get cut over the summer and can be had for free. Stefan Johnson might be a UFA too.Steve in Spainnoreply@blogger.com
