The quarterbacks, receivers and running backs will take their turn to meet the press, speak to teams and get measured up tomorrow. Tim Tebow is in Indianapolis - he won't throw, but he says he'll run a forty yard dash. I posted footage earlier in the week showing how Tebow has been working on adjusting his throwing motion to suit a more traditional pro-style action. We can endlessly debate the merits of Tebow's pro-prospects until April 22nd. However, this interview conducted with the NFL Network today just about sums up Tebow as an individual. Open, honest, willing to take criticism and show what he's been working on. How many other prospects would do this for the camera?
Put Tebow's on the field performance in another person and I'd say a 3rd or 4th round pick. Even still, I wouldn't bet against the Florida quarterback making himself a success in the NFL.

I personally would love to see the Hawks get him in the 2nd. I just have a sneaky feeling that he is going to go sooner than people think and I think he will be a very good qb in a couple of years. I could see him learn under Hass for a couple of years. Nobody is going to start him right away.
J.M.O. and I am sure to be in the minority.
Bright kid.
I'm curious if the left handed QB topic has been discussed in-depth here. What does it mean for your OL, how do defenses approach a lefty QB, are there any benefits or problems with a lefty?
I wouldn't be surprised if he "falls" to Jacksonville in the second round. No NFL team want Jacksonville to fail as a franchise and I'm sure they all acknowledge that perhaps their best chance to survive is getting Tebow.

Tim Tebow is someone you want to succeed. I really hope he makes it and becomes great. I just dont know if somewhere like Jacksonville can help him succeed tho.
Rob, I see you updated your draft board...hawks drafting Jimmy Clausen at the 6 spot. I can guarantee you that the hawks wont draft Clausen. Have you heard of Rick Mirer Notre Dame QB? Why gamble on a kid that flunked six grade. Clausen also has character issues. Do you remember his black eye scandal?
DUWORKSON - There's no guarantee the Seahawks won't draft Clausen. As for Rick Mirer - the two are completely unrelated. The black eye scandal was basically Clausen getting punched after he left a restaurant for a quiet meal by some idiot. There's no character issues with Clausen - some people wonder whether his cocky nature might rub people up the wrong way - but nobody who has ever played with Clausen has ever given him anything but a great review in that sense. I don't think someone like Pete Carroll would be put off by a QB who, in all honesty, is just a little arrogant.
Rob- I'm not sure if you saw this link in the comments earlier, but theres a great read on bill devaney and some info about the draft. You should definately give it a quick read.

Thanks, Charles.
I have to agree with the first comment in that I wouldn't mind seeing the Hawks draft Tebow in the second and groom him behind Hass for 2-3 years. The price they'd pay to do that for a second rounder makes a whole lot more financial sense than Bradford or Claussen at 6 which is where I believe the Hawks would have to draft them to get them. Not too mention that he just seems like a great kid, with talent, that will do everything to make himself better. I also noticed how he addressed everyone as "sir". Very Old School and nice to see.
You cant help but pull for the kid. I am hoping our draft goes something like this:
Dez Bryant
C. Brown or best fit OT
Tebow
Leg Blount
I think the Hawks would be in pretty good shape for a Left handed QB with Locklear @ RT.
Tim Tebow gives one hell of an interview. I'd be surprised if some team doesn't fall in love with him and take him in the first round (either naturally or by trading up).
Somewhere in Chicago, Tim Ruskell is devastated that he couldn't make Tim Tebow a Seahawk.
I just think its too much of a gamble and risk drafting Clausen at the 6 spot. When a team is drafting that high in the draft the best approach is draft the sure thing. Jimmy Clausen is not a sure thing. Drafting QBs this high will get coachs fired. Doest matter if your the choosen one "Carroll". If the Hawks are interested in drafting a QB Colt McCoy is going to be available at the 40th spot. At least he has street credit Heisman, Walter Camp and being compared to Dree Brees.
As far as lefty QB's, I don't think it changes too much except that you would move your pass protecting specialists to the right side of the line. Lefty QB's are very rare in the NFL and rare even in college. I think its notable though, that 3 of the most mobile QBs of all time, Vick, Young, and Tebow, are all lefties. Brunell in his prime was very mobile too. Not sure if that is just a coincidence or not.
*and by Young I meant Steve Young not Vince Young.
I meant "Close to a sure thing".
I don't think you can ever find a 'close to a sure thing'. Clausen, for me, isn't any more or less likely to bust than anyone else. He'll never be a stand out physical guy, but he's accurate and puts up the numbers. He might not have a huge ceiling, but he's not as risky as some of the spread QB's.
