Great video! I love seeing all this 2011 draft information available so soon.

I really think the player that stood out the most to me in that video was Richard Quinn. I don't know too much about him, but the stats they mentioned were very impressive and he seems (at least size wise) almost a perfect fit for Carroll's "Elephant" role.

I was a bit confused though when they discussed Ryan Mallett. 6'7" is amazing, and wouldn't that benefit Mallett? I suppose I can understand that he may not be as fast because of his size, but really being that tall seems like it would give him tremendous ability to see the entire field. What do you guys think? Is it a burden or a blessing?

Oops... I guess his name is Robert Quinn.

I'm looking forward to watching UNC's defense again in 2011. I watched them three times in 2010 but not much scope for this years draft. I still think Carter the linebacker is the most talented guy on that team.

Being tall isn't Mallett's issue as you correctly mention Patrick. Consistency and accuracy is what will define his stock. He is capable of making throws that are just mind blowing - long accurate bombs downfield that you just can't defend. He's also capable of missing an open full back in the end zone from ten yards. His potential and physical qualities, for me, will see past the need to be completely accurate. However, if he wants to go first overall instead of just in round one, he needs to be much more accurate and consistent.

I like mallet too.

IMO, I think Locker is the better fit because he is the more mobile, athletic, and (at this point) the more accurate QB.

From Jeremy Bates' comment and the WCO, they want mobile QBs who can extend plays. Locker IMO is the best fit for that. To be 100% honest, I haven't seen Mallet, but I've heard of reports and Mallet isn't exactly the most mobile guy (for his height reason).

As for Luck (though no one brought him up), I'm not sold... at all. I think he will be great and a potential #1, but not in the 2011 draft.

Ryan Mallett is about as enticing a prospect as Dan McGwire was.....

See what I did there? ;)

From a USC alumni, I just don't think Locker is any good or worth anything but a Tebow type of H-back.

I'm not sure why there are comparisons of Tebow and Locker. They are two totally different products.

Locker has a quick and compact release. He works out of a pro-style offense. Locker has decent mechanics. He scrambles well, stays in the pocket, and is also a different runner than Tebow. Tebow is like another big back to the team while Locker is considerably more elusive.
