Rookie dance off

Thanks to Eric Williams for bringing this to my attention...

It's the first chance to see Aaron Curry in his Seahawks uniform. Congratulations also to Knowshon 'I'm not taking this too seriously' Moreno. He might not be playing for the Seahawks, but you can't help but like Knowshon.

Awesome, just plan awesome. Makes me giddy to see all of the new players. Also, I gotta say I'm glad Curry wore his blue jersey ;-D

Good stuff Rob. Here's a video of Aaron Curry interviewing Jason Smith. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58cymzuIXiI&feature=player_embedded

I have mixed emotions about this. I think it is great that the rookies were able to get away from the preasure and have some fun with one and other. Its also cool that they were able to express themselves, and be creative, unique, and innovative. My scare is that these great athletes think that end zone celebrations are what its all about. I might be a bit overboard, and I will be the first to admit that, but arent a lot of the skits prohibited during game time that could cause your team to loose some major yardage or games? Once again, I think its all fun and games, and just a little fun these fellas and UD are having, but throughout the years, it seems some rookies get the wrong expectations of the game of the NFL. I personally hate seeing some young talented kid who has the world in front of him get caught up with the sponsors, $, and hype, and forget about the game, and being a team player. I am a Hawks fan, and forever will be, but I want whats best for these young dudes, and I know how I was when I was youg, and I can only imagine what its like when power companies drain you to see thier product sell only to dump you when you are washed up and done. Again, I am not trying to be a Debby Downer, but these kids are our sons, cousins, friends, and hopes that our teams play into Feb, and they deserve to just be themselves.

I can see your point NW Pride and it's really up to the teams to manage these guys properly. They're all young millionaires with, as you say, the world at their feet.

I don't have a problem with events like this at this time of year, but when it's time to work it's also time to get serious.

Thankfully, I doubt the Seahawks are going to endure any such problems with Aaron Curry. However, when you listen to some of the receivers (excluding Crabtree and Maclin, who in my opinion have both conducted themselves well since the draft) you wonder if they're not entirely sure just how tough the NFL is.
