Walter Cherepinsky published an updated mock draft this week. He gives the Seahawks Bruce Campbell (OT, Maryland) and Jahvid Best (RB, California). I'm yet to get a decent look at Cambpell, but Cherepinsky appears convinced he'll be a top pick in 2010. I would be surprised if Tim Ruskell passed on C.J. Spiller to draft Best, but clearly both fit the criteria Seattle is lacking on offense - home run hitter.
Draft Tek's sophisticated software has calculated a new mock draft. You'll notice I was asked to offer some thoughts on each pick - I should stress that I didn't choose the guys Seattle take I merely commented on what the computer predicted (it's based on team needs). The Seahawks take C.J. Spiller (RB, Clemson) and Jimmy Clausen (QB, Notre Dame) - not a bad couple of picks in all honesty.
Chad Reuter updates his mock draft at CBS Sportsline. He has the Seahawks taking Russell Okung (OT, Oklahoma State) and C.J. Spiller (RB, Clemson). I still think Charles Brown (OT, USC) could be the top offensive lineman in the 2010 class, although Reuter leaves him out of his mock completely (although he has a guard from Idaho going #21 to Philly). I will also be pretty stunned if Jonathan Dwyer, Terrance Cody and Greg Hardy go in the first round.

Dream scenario, Draft Tek's outlook. We should be so lucky.
I generally agree with most of you analysis. But I have spent some time with Cody. He is huge, has a great first step, is decent at tracking the ball, and has passion. That he is potentially a two down player today has no bearing on the fact that he is the only true NT besides Neal from purdue. Teams will easily push him into the to 15.
I would disagree that he's top 15 material. Whilst I appreciate 3-4 teams are always on the looking out for quality nose tackles, I'm not sure anyone will be prepared to spend top 15 money to risk Cody. His weight issues are a major red flag. He's fluctuated from 400lbs to around 360lbs. For me, when I watch the guy he looks like a 400lbs guy right now - regardless what he's 'officially' listed at. He's a non existent threat most of the time on passing downs and he is what he is - a great run clogger. He soaks up running plays. He'll be in for a couple of downs - a team won't spend top 15 money for such little return on game day and the issue that you'll have to permanently watch the guys weight. Considering he's at the size he is, I'm guessing that will lead to injuries down the line potentially.
As much as I like Bruce Campbell, from what I read he's an athletic freak but he's been prone to injuries this season. I don't really see Ruskell drafting him.
Also, what do you think of what GM Ruskell has done so far yourself?

I've read similar things about Campbell. I can't remember the specific injury, but he did suffer quite a serious injury recently and it's not the first. It wouldn't surprise me if he stayed in school unless he's really confident of maintaining a strong grade.
As for Ruskell, as with most GM's there's been some good and bad decisions. He inherited a strong offensive unit and has spent time trying to match it defensively. Unfortunately, whilst that's been going on the key offensive components have got old and injured. It needs new life now and the team is seriously suffering for it. This offense scares nobody and it's had too many band aids. This off season, there needs to be a concerted effort to rectify things on offense.
