We'll update the picks as they come in today, let me know your thoughts.
-Seahawks trade back in round four for a package that includes Lendale White.
-Walter Thurmond, corner back from Oregon, taken in round four.
-Seahawks take E.J. Wilson a defensive end from UNC.
-Another big trade, a 5th rounder for Leon washington.
I've been working on an English soccer game today so apologies for lack of analysis. Will have a big review up later on all of today's action. Posting via iPhone hasn't been easy. Love the trades.

Good Morning SDB...Let's get it done Hawks!
WTH we traded our pick?
I thought for a min we gave up our pick for Lendale but we got a 13th pick back so its good I guess.
I second what Jayce said and it looks like we traded for ..... LenDale White????????? Any details Rob?
we swapped positions in the 4th rd and 6th rd and we got vickerson (dt) and white (rb)
E in F
good trade got needs filled
Hoping for either Geno Atkins or Mitch Petrus
I have no problem with the trade, fills two needs (maybe not with the best of players) and we don't lose picks.
This was a great trade considering what we got and that we gave up very little. This is how it is done Mr Ruskell (sorry could not resist.

They espn crew of Kiper,McShay and Jaws just said Seattle is winning this draft in a big way. I loved the trade because Lendale is a capable compliment to Forsett and has been successfull under Carroll before. We've see Carroll pass on a ton of USC guys so this tells you he really likes White for his system. I also like the corner out of Oregon and before his injury he was rated as a much higher prospect. Tough strong corner who can play in man to man or zone type packages. I'll be honest, I'm somewhat shocked by how well Carroll and the crew have done. I love what they have done so far. I also like getting depth on the Dline through the trade as well. Still shocked at how well they've done...........wow.
Rob- I haven't seen George Selvie selected yet, when does he become an option?
I'd be up for Reshad Jones atm. Set at safety.
Interesting that we chose Kim Chancellor over Reshad Jones. I assume it's for the physical abilities (230 lb., 6'3) and according to the NFL.com scouting report, a good fit for the zone scheme.
Alex
Both EJ and CJ Wilson play DE. EJ isnt even rated on Walterfootball. Did the FO get them mixed up?
Wow...., we got a 7th rounder and Leon Washington (low risk, high reward gamble) for a 5th rounder. He led the league in all purpose yards a few years back.
Alex
ok, nevermind. I must have mixed up, but Washington looks dynamic enough to be a good back.
I see Carroll is going with maximum upside in these picks/trade.
Alex
I hope this spells the end of Julius Jones time in Seattle. I liked him in Dallas but he never stepped it up in Seattle. No one can really blame the O-Line either because Forsett was able to run the ball fine for the most part.
With Washington, White and Forsett, thats an interesting threesome.
Who do we expect to be the starter on opening day? I know in Tennessee White played in a more backup/short yardage roll, so I am curious to see how many carries Forsett and Washington will have.
It should definately open things up for our receivers, as it looks as though we will be running the ball alot.
would we pick Dwyer next? Carlton Mitchell?
TE Anthony McCoy.
Anthony McCoy eh? Value pick I guess, would've liked a CB or G.
Although 7th-Undrafted is prob good enough for Gibbs to get a couple dirtbags to mold.
I was hoping for Capers (HUGE pass pro upside) and Donovan Warren, but McCoy is a value pick with upside.
I expect OL in the last round.

Still can't believe they didn't trade down to get more picks at some point. Like the Washington move, don't get the White move, 2 RB's with tread on the tires isn't what any team needs. Still don't have a big #1 WR with great speed, but Tate and Washington can be playmakers.
I think the idea is that these are low risk high reward moves. At least the media likes the picks and I like it (nice balance of BPA and need).
And I'm wondering when people would stop complaining about a #1 WR. THERE ISN'T ONE other than Bryant with Thomas with the potential. And as you know, those were both gone in the 1st round (and we had other more critical needs in the 1st round). Tate is as close to one as you can get and he is the #1 playmaker WR in this draft. According to the Hawks board, Tate was the only 1st round talent left when they picked at the 60 spot.
And crappers, Selvish Capers was just picked by Washington (amazing fell here). I'm now hoping for Tony Washington or Donovan Warren with our 1st 7th round pick.
Alex
correction: mid risk high reward.
alright, we can get either Warren or Washington (maybe Washington for greater potential).
Alex
Amazing how much talent is left in the 7th.
Dexter Davis... seriously.
LB is probably the position with the least need. I would have preferred Warren and Washington.
Alex
Its possible that hill gets 4 games suspension and maybe a decent special teams player.
What do you expect in the 7th? Davis is a DE/LB breed who fits the elephant role. Plus, he's a PAC-10 guy so I hope that Carrol and Norton saw something they like.
well, I feel a little better knowing that he is fast and a All Pac 10 1st team guy.
Still hoping for Washington. There is too much potential to pass on that guy.
Alex
Even so, with Hill's possible suspension, I still have Hawthorne who is a solid above average LB.
