New Banner - Welcome to Seattle

By Rob Staton
What do you think of the new banner? I'll take this opportunity to welcome all the recent additions to the Seahawks roster - we're looking forward to camp already and seeing you guys in Seattle. We'll be taking a closer look at the newest Seahawks over the next few days. Even though the 2010 draft has been completed, stay tuned to the blog because we'll soon be looking ahead to next year and preparing for a new college football season.

I love the new banner!! I appreciate everything you, Kip, and Kyle do on this site and I can't wait to start analyzing the year ahead. As strange as it sounds, I'm almost a bit relieved we only have one first round pick in 2011 lol

On a side note, does anyone else think Golden Tate almost looks like Shaun Alexander?

When I watched the Golden Tate pick, I couldn't help but notice that he didn't seem very happy. Not sure if he was hoping for a entirely other team or surprised that Seattle would pick him.

Kind of interesting. I LOVE the Earl Thomas pick.

I saw an interview with Tate where he just seemed really tired - probably the drama of the draft. Essentially, he knew he was going to be picked relatively early, so it's not like he's going to react like the top 5-10 prospects when he goes at #60. He may have been a little disappointed to go at #60, but I doubt it's because he had to go to Seattle.

Thomas' reaction was very calm considering the situation and the magnitude.

GT said prior to the draft that he was a Chicago Bears fan and hoped to end up there, presumably catching passes from Jake Cutler.

That was always going to be a very long shot, given the bad position Chicago was in during the draft....thanks to the Cutler deal.

Since he was selected, Tate has had nice things to say on Twitter:

It's finally over! A blessing to be picked by Seattle! I cant wait to get there and make some plays! New favorite team SEATTLE SEAHAWKS!

I can't get my mind off of being in seattle! I can't wait to make a difference on the turf and the community!

Going to D1 in TN to get my butt in shape for mini camp! This should be interesting!

my jersey number for the HAWKS is going to be 81!!

Saturday I went to Lids in Knoxville,TN and they did not have a Seahawks cap! Lets goo TN get on it!

Yah neither Thomas or Tate seemed very excited to be Seahawks. I think once they meet some of the guys and check out the city they'll warm to the idea of playing in Seattle.

Tate's not getting as much air time hype on Sirrus or the NFL network as I would have expected either. Where's the love??
This draft was great for us Hawk fans .... now if Uncle Paul, and PC could just find a way to bring Big John Henderson into the fold, I think I would start to beleive that the NFC West was back within reach!
What do you guys think.... like to see Henderson wearing Seahawk Blue??
