ROUND 1
#1 St Louis: Sam Bradford (QB, Oklahoma)
This pick has been obvious for a long time and is not a surprise. The Rams need a franchise quarterback to build around.
#2 Detroit: Ndamukong Suh (DT, Nebraska)
I never once had Okung picked here, because Suh was the obvious choice. Every move in the off season was geared around taking Suh here.
#3 Tampa Bay: Gerald McCoy (DT, Oklahoma)
With Detroit taking Suh, Tampa Bay were happy to settle for McCoy. He might have the better career.
#4 Washington: Trent Williams (OT, Oklahoma)
Scheme fit and this makes Seattle's choice at #6 a lot easier.
#5 Kansas City: Eric Berry (S, Tennessee)
The new regime in Seattle were dreading this scenario. They wanted Williams or Berry, now both are gone. The Seahawks are on the clock.
#6 Seattle: Russell Okung (OT, Oklahoma State)
Welcome to Seattle, Russell Okung. The Seahawks have a great offensive line coach. Okung has the physical skills, let's hope the two can combine to sufficiently replace the great Walter Jones.
Watch the Seahawks take Russell Okung 6th overall
#7 Cleveland: Joe Haden (CB, Florida)
Haden is a great football player who fills a need in Cleveland's secondary. His best football is to come.
#8 Oakland: Rolando McClain (LB, Alabama)
I had McClain at #5 throughout, this is a much smarter pick than Oakland have made in the past. Coach on the field, can be very good.
#9 Buffalo: C.J. Spiller (RB, Clemson)
I'm higher on Spiller than some. Buffalo clearly don't like Anthony Davis, so their options were limited. They took the best player on their board.
#10 Jacksonville: Tyson Alualu (DT, California)
Nobody expected this - the draft's first major shock. They passed on Derrick Morgan and JPP. Interesting that the Jaguars didn't trade down, they don't own a second round pick.
#11 San Francisco: Anthony Davis (OT, Rutgers)
The Niners make a trade with Denver, swapping #13 for #11 for the price of a fourth rounder. Davis is raw but has major upside. He has the right coach.
#12 San Diego: Ryan Mathews (RB, Fresno State)
The Chargers make a big move, trading #28 for #12. The cost is Seattle's old second rounder at #40 and a fourth rounder. Was this actually to keep Mathews away from Seattle? Why else a trade this big?
#13 Philadelpia: Brandon Graham (DE, Michigan)
Three trades in a row. Again, is this to keep Graham away from Seattle? The cost - two third round picks. Seattle are on the clock.
#14 Seattle: Earl Thomas (S, Texas)
The Seahawks get their corner/safety hybrid. This guy is a playmaker. It seems like Pete Carroll was always sold on a tackle and safety combo. I stand by my opinion on this blog that I preferred Thomas over Berry.
Watch the Seahawks take Earl Thomas 14th overall
#15 New York Giants: Jason Pierre-Paul (DE, USF)
JPP has major upside, it's just whether or not he can match potential with long term production. Unbelievable that Derrick Morgan is still on the board.
#16 Tennessee: Derrick Morgan (DE, Georgia Tech)
This is amazing value for the Titans at their biggest position of need. Tennessee fans should be delighted with this.
#17 San Francisco: Mike Iupati (OG, Idaho)
The Niners, potentially, have an offensive line for the ages. Staley is entrenched, they now have a very good young book end in Davis and a guard with amazing upside.
#18 Pittsburgh: Maurkice Pouncey (C, Florida)
The Steelers finally spend a high pick on their offensive line after years of spoilt mocks. They always find value in Pittsburgh. Falcons pick should be interesting next.
#19 Atlanta: Sean Wetherspoon (LB, Missouri)
I think Wetherspoon is a bit over rated, but he fills a need for the Falcons. There's some big names still on the board. Houston will go cornerback.
#20 Houston: Kareem Jackson (CB, Alabama)
As expected, a cornerback for Houston. They had their pick of the bunch really, with Wilson and McCourty still around too.
#21 Cincinnati: Jermaine Gresham (TE, Oklahoma)
Nobody ever doubted Gresham's talents, it's just those serious knee injuries that worry me. If he was more durable, he'd have gone higher than this even.
#22 Denver: Demaryius Thomas (WR, Georgia Tech)
What a surprise, the Patriots trade down. Interesting choice for Denver, moving Marshall to take a guy with raw talent, but whom worked in a scheme from which we can learn only so much about his talents.
#23 Green Bay: Bryan Bulaga (OT, Iowa)
I projected a fall for Bulaga in my last few mocks. This is par value for a guy who isn't without his faults but will be a solid pro in Green Bay.
#24 Dallas: Dez Bryant (WR, Oklahoma State)
The Cowboys move above Baltimore to get Bryant. This is a great pick by Dallas and a great fit for Bryant.
#25 Denver: Tim Tebow (QB, Florida)
Unbelievable. There was some talk about Denver and Tebow today and it was clearly worth listening to. Denver move back into round one to get the Florida QB. Cutler and Marshall are out, Tebow and Thomas are in. Clausen is still on the board and this has been a drama filled first round.
#26 Arizona: Dan Williams (DT, Tennessee)
Bit of a surprise that Williams lasted this long considering the value of 3-4 nose tackles. Still, this has been a draft full of surprises. Nice value for Arizona who continue their scheme transition. Tebow-mania almost leads ESPN to forget the Cardinals are on the clock.
#27 New England: Devin McCourty (CB, Rutgers)
Interesting choice for the Patriots. They've passed on Odrick and Kindle to add to their secondary.
#28 Miami: Jared Odrick (DE, Penn State)
The Dolphins got a guy they might have considered at #12, they acquired Brandon Marshall and move up in round two. A+.
#29 New York Jets: Kyle Wilson (CB, Boise State)
Rex Ryan loves defensive backs. They continue to add talent to their secondary.
#30 Detroit: Jahvid Best (RB, California)
The Lions trade back into round one to guarantee Jahvid Best. Durability issues aside, Best could be a star - he's a home run hitter. The price wasn't much to move up.
#31 Indianapolis: Jerry Hughes (DE, TCU)
The Colts can't really go wrong with their infrastructure. Hughes is a nice addition who could thrive in that defensive scheme.
#32 New Orleans: Patrick Robinson (CB, Florida State)
He's capable of being very good but makes too many mistakes. Back-to-back first round cornerbacks for the Saints after Malcolm Jenkins in 2008 - does he go to safety now?

I must say I love this pick from Seattle's perspective
You guys are 100% on your mock draft so far! Nice job!
LOL - thanks. Shall we quit now whilst we're ahead?
BTW, I think that the TV is slightly delayed. You posted the #2 pick before it was on TV.
I think McCoy will be next
Probably saw him on the phone
now it gets interesting... hoping Washington picks Okung
USAFANARC - as soon as you see a prospect on the phone with a big grin on his face - there's no need to wait for the announcement. I wish they'd back camera's in the green room, kills the suspense.
You guys watching ESPN or NFL Network?
lookin good so far- all the tackles still on the board:)
The redskins can go in almost any direction. I think they will go with Trent Williams
Well crap.
plz Chiefs...take Okung
I'm watching on ESPN.
Big pick here...
Here is your money maker rob
The cheifs are going with Berry I think
You guys are spot on, nice job.

Come on trade down to Buff for 9 and a second
Seahawks will pick CJ Spiller
Ok... Now it's time to trade down...
ouch... that's a dagger.

this is the worst case scenario. No DT, no Berry, no William.
Trade down! Trade down!
Please!
Okung plz! Thrilled with KC. We passed on LT last year, can't again.
Who's it going to be? Predictions?

Cluasen. Please!
crappers, it's Okung. He's on the phone now.
Alex
Looks like Kip's mock is the last standing.
lame
That takes charles brown out at 14. Who do we take there now?
could of had brown at #14. Every bit as good a fit for the Hawks. seems like a wasted pick. hope i'm wrong
okung can cut block and is coachable take heart
Welcome, Okung. May you exceed Staton's expectations 10 fold.
well, with Okung now, we're looking at safety or DL at #14.
Alex
MORGAN, but its MAYS dude sorry
Cleveland picks CJ Spiller
It wasn't Clausen, which I'd have liked a lot less.
I'm hoping that this pick is turns out for Seahawks fans like the Lofa Tatupu pick. We'll bitch and moan about it now and hopefully be floored by how well it turns out.
Clausen at #14 would be amazing
cleveland picks joe haden
I pray its Earl Thomas at 14 and Lamarr Houston at 60
Get your list of 40 times out
Who the hell will the raiders pick? I have no idea
Raiders picked McClain already!
Jacoby Ford for the 8th overall, his 40 time guarentees a future HOF'er
I have no idea who the Raiders will pick. Probably the hardest team to mock.
Wait, it's McCLAIN! Holy.
Alex
The Raiders made a good first round pick.(I am shocked)
dude wasn't even at the draft!?
Spiller to Buffalo. Does this mean Lynch trade is imminent?
interesting. That was FAST.
Alex
NOOO plz don trade for lynch I was hoping our 60 is for Houston or another DT
Lynch to seattle for a fourth and future 3rd?
Jacksonville Will be the first team to trade today.
well, Giants fans are getting killed now. They first wanted Rolando. Their second choice is CJ. They're now to their 3rd choice, which I forgot who it was.
Alex
Sure hope Thomas is there at 14. If not please, please trade down.
Clausen is slipping fast now. If he makes it past SF at 17 he could go all the way to the bottom of the 1st.
i can see Clausen to San Francisco
Wow...I think thats a reach...Tyson for 9?
Alualu? Shocker!!
10 i mean
WHO!?!?!??!
OK, now I don't feel bad as a Hawk's fan
lololol
wtf jacksonville?
WOW, Tyson at #10? That is WAY OVERDRAFTING.
Alex
Trade... niners... wtf
I think everyone's mock draft just got ruined.
Alex
Derrick Morgan for Jag I think
I'm not sure why you would jump up two spots.
Alex
Clausen to SF scares me he might be good there but not here...
davis?
Alex
Which pick did they trade from?
Why would you jump two spots for Davis? I've been hearing Williams and Morgan all day.
Alex
Why move up for Davis?
chargers jump a long ways.
Crap I thought we could pull a trade with SD
Crossing my fingers for Morgan at #14 (trade aside).
Alex
WOW, big jump.
Alex
Morgan?????????
hella knew it was ryan
They jump for Ryan Matthews? WTF!!!!
Not surprising they moved up for him... by why all the way to Miami?
WOW, Matthews!!?? That think that is a reach. Houston is now probably looking at Earl Thomas or Kyle Wilson.
Alex
Eagles traded ahead of us. That's Earl Thomas off the board.
Predicting Eagles trade with Seattle to get their safety.
That is dumb move from San Diego. Oh Well
Oops...too slow on the uptake.
Oh, oh Earl Thomas looks to be it at for Eagles.
Trade aside, I think it's Morgan.
Alex
Our trade opportunities are dwindling unless someone wants Clausen before the 9ers get a shot at him.
im guessing hawks get mays or morgan
im guessing hawks get mays or morgan
ill take Morgan any day at 14!!
Man, the Texans are just getting their board messed up right now. Well, if Dan William gets to #20, I think they'll take it.
Alex
Morgan is a good value pick though
Please be Morgan!
WTF, Brandon Graham?!?!
Alex
What! they are trading up for Gramm???
Hope we get Thomas....Or trade down.
Rob posts Earl Thomas, NFL network is saying Brandon Graham.... Who is it?
Holy crap. Ahead of morgan? rujk?
WOW.
Graham or Thomas??
WOW!
Showtime Seattle.
Funny watching Carrol high five in the war room.
Cool. They must have their player there!!!!!!!
Who do we take here? I hope we get a trade to let people jump in front of the next few picks.
Morgan, Thomas, or trade down.
C'mon hawks, shop Clausen
Wow, this draft has A LOT of overdrafting. Alualu, Graham, Matthews, and McClain (to a degree).
Hoping for Morgan!
Alex
This has to be a trade with Dallas
Shocking.... commercial as soon as the attention turns to the Seahawks.
Carroll looks stoked!!
A trade would be great, or Morgan, Clausen, or Mays. No matter what I am happy :-)
I'd love to see Carolina trade up here for Morgan to replace peppers.
They are on the phone with ??? Who???
Sooo many options here. There is serious value. they should be able to get lots of value from someone. Could be Phil. again, but most likely dallas.
Supposed to be Thomas. Hoping for Morgan, but it's not bad I guess.
Alex
I'd like a trade. Get a late first or early second with a third. Get FS/SS, DT, and maybe a DE
Yes, finally a playmaker!!
Thomas! Prefer Morgan, but I love Thomas.
I like the pick. I would have preferred a trade, but this is a good pick.
well, I'm not against the pick. He is the last major safety in the draft.
Alex
Solid pick! Couldn't go wrong with Morgan or Thomas or trade
Well, now we wait till #60. Tomorrow is going to suck watching all of the picks before us.
So Okung and Thomas... hmm. He's a better value than Berry I think, but so much for avoiding midgets in the secondary.
This guy is damn good. I like the pick, but im pretty sure Dallas still wants this guy so i wont count out a trade just yet.
Great picks by the Seahawks. Two outstanding players that will fill two big holes. Very happy! I always liked Thomas more than Berry. Perfect.
Others I wanted more (especially the trade down.) But nothing to complain about at all with this pick.
Pity we couldn't scoop those picks of the Eagles but nice choice.Fills a big hole.
Scotia
At least the Seahawks are getting their values (LT at #6 and #14 on FS). Berry might have been expensive. Though Okung isn't great now, I think he has the tools to be taught by Gibbs into a good LT.
Alex
I'm a little shocked that Morgan fell to #16. BOO, I don't want Morgan going against my Texans.
Curious if 49ers will take Clausen (though insiders say they won't).
As for Hawks #60, I say concentrate on the DL, preferably a DT (Lamar Houston or Geno Atkins) since it's a deep DT class. DE not as much.
Alex
Alex
Wow, that could be one scary OL if Mike Solari can coach up those two.
Alex
Rob would you consider trading our #14 selection to Dallas for more picks?
wow, Clausen is about to seriously fall. To think people had us taking him at #6.
My TEXANS. It's between Wilson and Dan Williams. I'm actually leaning toward Williams simply because they can get a good corner in the 2nd or 3rd round while there is only 2 or 3 NTs in this draft.
Alex
Is Clausen going to make it to 30?
I hope 60 will be a Dt, Lamar Houston. and 4th round we get someone like Mike Johnson or Mitch Petrus
Hey Rob, If your able to get footage of the war room, could you post it up. I wasn't able to see any of it. I heard they were estatic about the Earl Thomas pick. Personally I wanted Morgan, but I really can't fault them. Either pick was good
Im glad clausen is going to Minnesota thats perfect for him.
I know Dallas is looking to move down from #27. Not sure we have enough ammo to get it done though. I could see Bryant/Clausen/Brown/Best still being there at #27.
Could Brown go to guard or RT?
I'm a little disappointed with Kareem Jackson. Passing on Kyle Wilson and Dan Williams.
Alex
Saw something go by on Twitter that Jackson's school used the same system/terminology as the Texans do. Not the greatest reason to favour him over Wilson, but makes sense.
I'm a little surprised that Bulaga and Brown fell as far as they did. I still see Brown in the top 40.
Alex
Thoughts so far on the draft in general and the Seahawks picks? Biggest surprise? Biggest mistake? Best value?
Wow How did Tim Tebow go before Jimmy Clausen
Wow!!!! tebow before clausen
Biggest surprise? The number of reaches.
Biggest mistake? Tebow to Denver. Seriously?
Best Value? Tie between Seattle getting Thomas and Dallas getting Bryant. Luckily for me, those are my two teams!
I also thought Dallas got good value with Bryant.
But WOW. Tebow! And Denver payed ALOT (2nd,3rd, and 4th). Looks like they're looking for the next John Elway.
Alex
Not surprised about Tebow before Clausen. Someone was going to take a chance on Tebow. Denver will give him time. Some bold moves by McDaniels, swapping prima dona's like Cutler and Marshall for Tebow and Thomas. Interesting times in Denver.
I don't know enough about Thomas (something I'll clearly have to rectify) to say with any certainty but it seems like we might have gotten better value with Okung/Thomas than Berry/???.
Best value, I'd say Morgan or Bryant. Tebow is certainly the biggest shock, unless Clausen falls all the way out of the first.
we've all see first hand what only getting "good character guys" gets you. I wish we had Denver's first round pick next year too.
Worst pick? Tyson Alualu. HORRIBLE. He might have been a late 1st rounder in most other years, but this is a DEEP DT class.
Frankly, I'm a little disappointed with my Texans' (my other team) pick. Even if they didn't take a 1 tech NT, I was hoping Kyle Wilson (even if Bama has closer book).
Alex
The quality of this draft will be really noticed at the top of round two. A lot of first round talent will drop into that range.
I think that the Dolphins will pick a defensive end or tackle
man I wish we still had our original 2nd. Sure hope Whitehurst is worth it.
I like the Okung pick, really dont like the Earl Thomas pick. midget secondary and no playmakers on offense, great.
Well said Rob. Makes me wish that much more that we had pick 40 back. Houston/Best/Burnett at 60 will still be nice.
hunter: FWIW, Thomas fits the CB/S hybrid. And there is more value relative to Berry.
Also, I would argue that the two spots we picked are more glaring and important needs compared to an offensive playmaker.
In matter of fact, I prefer a DT in this deep class for the #60. I know PC said he wants a WR that can catch TDs, but the DT class is much deeper. I would attempt to find a hidden gem for WRs in this draft (e.g. Shipley in the 4th).
Oh yeah, Jahvid Best looks to be off to the Lions. So there goes that option.
Alex
I like Thomas but wonder about him as an undersized guy at safety
Looks like Clausen is falling into the 2nd round. So is Charles Brown. Taylor Mays looks to be in the 2nd round (kind of expected).
Alex
The Whitehurst trade was clearly not worth it. I wish we could give the #60 and Whitehurst back for our original pick. Maybe take Rodger Saffold / Jimmy Clausen / Linval Joseph / Brandon Ghee. There is so much talent at the top of the 2nd it was stupid to trade out of that range.
best is not what we need at all. i'd like to see an OL / DL or DB.
Wow, I didn't know Jerry Hughes comes from my hometown.
And I believe it's too early to say the Whitehurst trade is not worth it. It's not like we lost our 2nd round pick. And we were already missing the 3rd round for this year from before so it can't be blamed on the Whitehurst trade. If he pans out, which I believe is possible, it would be well worth it.
Alex
Looks like Clausen may well go 34th
Cysco, Clipboard Jesus won't be worth it.
what about trading Leroy Hill??? what do you guys think we could get for him???
It COULD be worth it... but this is a deep draft with a lot of 1st round talent at the top of the second. If your trying to say Whitehurst is a remotely better prospect that Clausen you must be high.
Hill would only get us 4th or 5th. Not worth it. I would like to see a couple of 4tj rounders traded for a 3rd.
To think that Seattle could have been in a position to grab Clausen or Brown in the second. Wow.
Man, I wish we could get that pick back.
