Any fans of Madden NFL? The guys at EA Sports have 'Madden-ised' the rookie class of 2009 through the first round. For those not familiar with the popular game, players are given a statistical grading marked out of 100. The latest edition, Madden '10, comes out on August 14th. Aaron Curry receives the highest rookie grade getting a solid 85. His transformation into digital form is one of the better likenesses too. The video clip below runs through the first round. Peria Jerry (DT, Atlanta) for some reason looks more like Beanie Wells. Alex Mack is pulling some nice shapes in his Cleveland jersey, in the midst of a robotic dance. Michael Oher's also a bit of a sharp dancer too.

Curry got a 45 for Zone Coverage, I thought his coverage ability was one of the things to make him stand out as a linebacker. Clay Matthews got a 67 and Brian Cushing got a 62. Can that be right?
Still kind of cool that he was the highest overall.
Didn't curry run like a 4.54 at the combine? How is Crabtree faster than him? Is it weird that I actually care about this?
Haha - probably annonymous!
Mind of no mind - if there is one slight area of improvement for Curry it's coverage. He's a bit stiff in the hips. However, with this score of 45 I'm guessing they maybe gave him high marks everywhere else and needed to balance things out otherwise he'd be graded as the best LB in the NFL. Still, it's pretty cool to see Seattle's first round pick getting the highest marks out of all the rookie's. I'm still getting used to seeing Knowshon Moreno in a Broncos jersey though - if only we had those two first round picks this year!
PLus they show Wells in a cardinals uni with the Bucs logo. Its just a game, I like Curry as one and hope he proves it on the field!!
Well spotted True Hawk! Peria Jerry looks more like Beanie Wells.
Where's B.J. Raji? Other than that, awesome video. I definitely loved seeing Aaron Curry ranked the highest!
how do they give Beanie Wells faster speed than Aaron Curry when Aaron Curry had a better 40 time?
Very worthwhile info, lots of thanks for your article.
